Motto
Knowledge, Excellence and Performance.

Loamo is a learning institution dedicated to developing children mentally, socially, physically and spiritually, so they can perform well at both local and international levels.
History of the school

The name LOAMO comes from a family of six: the first letters of the father, the mother and four sons. L for Loserian, O for Osiligi, A for Olarip, M for Maria, O for Ojungu and Osuphat.
The school began with Mrs Maria Loserian, a certified early childhood teacher. Maria was born and raised in Nambere village, Arusha. As a girl she dreamed of becoming a nurse, but her father, himself a teacher, steered her towards education. She trained at Korogwe Teachers' College and graduated at the top of her class with a Grade A certificate.
She went on to teach at St Constantine International School (1991 to 1993), Green Acres (1993 to 1996) and Naasha (1997 to 1999). Parents who saw her work kept asking for their children to be mentored by her in after-school tuition.
In 1999 she turned the living room of her own home into a classroom and began with three pupils. Her husband was still studying at the Institute of Finance Management in Dar es Salaam at the time. With Maria's tuition income, a small poultry business run from the same yard and Loserian's savings, they built one classroom. That room was the beginning of today's LOAMO.
In 2000 the school was fully registered, and it has been graduating Standard Seven classes ever since.
